This seems like a very fitting opening blog post as this was a very special shoot with a very much loved prop and a wonderful story behind it!
Steve Trussler and I have been working together now for many years. It all started in a beautiful hotel room in Guildford,on a last minute shoot. Steve left the camera with me for a prop forthe following day's shoot, and I spent the evening photographing it and falling in love! We produced an amazing set of images the following day, which were published in Ellusive Dreams magazine. On a lovely day out at the Watts Gallery to see the magazine, I noticed a package on the back seat. As I went to phone Steve I noticed the package had my name on. On opening it it was the Rollie! My favourite model.. I can't thank Steve enough and she will always have the best of homes as I never get tired of this camera and she has been an amazing prop for us over the years in many situations.
This shoot with her is particularly special though. For years Steve has followed my urbex work, but been unsure about shooting it. But with the right secluded location and ease of access, we headed out to an abandoned office block and took the Rollie on tour! It was a dream day and a lovely chilled shoot with so many wonderful images and sets to come, but this set might ust be my favourite...

Well Helen, the little Rollei will never EVER have looked as good as it did on my first foray with you into your slightly unpredictable, and to me, somewhat nerve wracking world of the urbex nude. I needn't have worried, as I loved this shoot in many ways, and to come away with the amazing images we did, was honestly beyond what I could've imagined.
I won't use an expletive, but safe to say, I FLIPPING love these!!!
Thankyou Helen, this urbex 'virgin' is so grateful for the gentle introduction :)
What we achieved was incrediblebut a good team is a good team anywhere!
