CORONAVIRUS UPDATE BOOKINGS FOR OUTDOOR SHOOTS MOVING FORWARD
I WILL BE WORKING OUTDOORS AT MY USUAL RATE OF £30 P/H BUT WILL DONATE £5 P/H TO CAPTAIN TOMS PAGE AS WITH MY REMOTE SHOOTS UNTIL THE END OF JULY!!
This has been a difficult decision for me, and not taken lightly. Both of us in the house have remained safe in this, and wish for this to continue for us, friends eventually and the people I work with! But looking at the changes to restrictions I believe that with the steps below, I can safely continue to work with certain photographers, in certain safe locations where more than social distancing can be maintained during the shoot away from the general public, as most of my shoots often are. I'm a very naturally socially distanced person anyway and prepared to stay that way as much as possible. If I return to work three days a week they will be from home and I have plenty of remote shooting, also from home. I purchase all my fuel across the road from my house, with many of my essentials too, and this has remained safe throughout for the local community. I will not use motorway services even when they re open for the near future. So with this in mind I'm going to start to shoot just three days a week outside to begin with, with the following changes, provisions and restrictions I believe will make it safe for everyone during these months..All I ask is that people are kind and respectful of other people's decisions and situations if you are not able to shoot. There is no right or wrong in this and much confusion, and like anybody else I am making the best of a difficult situation.
I would strongly advise photographers not to use public transport to get to our shoots in line with the Government and will not travel to shoots yet via public transport. I do have bookings abroad which are being discussed regularly but I'm not actively booking any shoots abroad at the moment.
From the 15th of June I'm happy to shoot at home excluding the loft, which is too small to distance I'm afraid. This can be combined with shooting on the Thames/Chertsey Bridge and the Meads which are all on the doorstep and easy to distance. There will only be myself and the photographer here during shoots. My home is also my studio and will be cleaned and the relevant precautions taken as any other professional studio before and after shoots.
UPDATE: Whilst I'M HAPPY TO SHOOT OUTDOORS NOW MY HOME WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE THROUGHOUT JUNE NOW SADLY UNLESS SHOOTING REMOTELY AS SINCE THE EASING OF RESTRICTIONS IN THIS AREA IT SEEMS MORE IMPORTANT THAN EVER TO HAVE A SAFE BASE WHEN I'M NOT WORKING. I'LL REVIEW THIS AGAIN IN JULY..
I always have hand sanitiser or wipes/ wash on shoots anyway, and for the foreseeable future will have an increased supply enough for two people and will require regular use through the shoot.
All props will be washed or disinfected each time they are used
I'm happy to shoot early or late, or even at night which is a great time when normally the nightlife would be buzzing! However I will not knowingly go to somewhere at a time it will be crowded or busy, even observing social distancing. I have plenty of spots and ideas away from civillization at certain times not to take those risks or draw attention.
Please no concepts anywhere public that will draw attention, for both people's safety.
No duo work at this time please.
I do not want to put any burden on the NHS so any buildings with any sort of major risk are not for me currently. Remaining safe and protecting the NHS is far more important than the thrill of the building and there is plenty of safe places to work out there at the moment. It is also not the time to be caught by police or security.
If we don't already know each other I may ask for references where I normally wouldn't. It's not personal but it's important to know who you're working with at this time.
I'm afraid it's only England at the moment and I would rather not do more than a day at a time for the next month or two. No tours currently I'm afraid! I am happy to travel to the South Coast if people are happy to respect the busy times. There are also many fantastic, secluded little spots on the river within walking distance of my apartment, and the Meads fantastic for fashion work with plenty of space and hidden places for discreet nude work.IF YOUR ENQUIRING ABOUT AN INTERNATIONAL SHOOT PLEASE DROP ME A LINE FOR A CHAT and let's start looking at it when it's viable.
But if you are lucky enough to be in a position to shoot safely, especially if we already work together, and are happy to do your utmost to keep yourself and those around you as safe as possible please drop me a line and lets have a chat.. Communication is extremely important to me at this time so if you would like to arrange a call for a chat I'm happy to do so.
And if you just can't wait to shoot, or are not in a fortunate position to shoot at this time, please check my remote shoot page here for details!I have several people who wish to continue shooting in this way and I'm hoping my horse maybe available for remote shooting soon with the correct training!
